From Start-Up generation to new generation Start-Ups
Financed by the Italian Ministry for Industry for a five year duration (April 2004 to April 2009), it represents the mother initiative that has enabled We Tech off to be launched.
I Tech Off developed an efficient and innovative support path starting from the formulation of the business idea up to the business autonomy jump.
Since 2004, I Tech Off has supported 45 business projects developed by 131 beneficiaries.

Creative Growth is a three year INTERREG IVC project that runs from October 1st 2008 to September 30th 2011. The overall aim of the project is to increase European competitiveness and accelerate regional economic growth through the development of the creative sector as a new business sector and a key driver of the emerging knowledge economy.
The aim is also to influence policy development on regional and local level by mainstreaming new knowledge and best practice into the policy making process.
Aster is taking part in the project because the creative sector plays an important role in the economy of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Creative Growth represents a chance to analyze and better understand this specific sector, identify positive experiences to better support businesses and collaborate with other partner regions in the detection of specificities and possible solutions to enable the creative sector to further grow at regional levels.

We Tech Off will support 60 business ideas during the Pre-incubation phase, and 40 new start-ups in Incubation.
Until now, we had 4 Pre-incubation calls:
- October 2008 (18 applications received, 12 selected)
- March 2009 (17 applications received, 10 selected)
- November 2009 (18 applications received, 13 selected)
- April 2010 (21 applications received, 10 selected)
And 2 Incubation calls:
- June 2009 (15 applications received, 9 selected)
- December 2009 (12 applications received, 7 selected)
